Disney has announced a new Disney Channel original movie called “Descendants” following the teenage lives of the Villains’ children.
The film takes place in a present-day idyllic kingdom, where the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney’s iconic Beauty and the Beast) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making spawn of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. These villainous descendants (Carlos, Mal, Evvie and Jay, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power, or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom?
“Descendants” will begin production next year and will debut in 2015
disney is on their fucking game
Moths: what the fuck?
wtf is that a parasite?
my barely educated guess would be that it has to do with breeding somehow. but i don’t know for sure.
fisk, do you have info?
considering its a part of the body i doubt its a parasite
im not too keen on insect anatomy, sadly, but i’d be willing to say it’s got something to do with breeding as well— pheromone-related organs, or maybe the penis itself? i dunno. it’s not an ovipositor as far as i can tell. the smaller ones seem to be male claspers, used to hold a female during sex, so… it’s probably a dick. but i can’t be sure, obviously, it’d probably be better to go to someone with more focus on insects than me
it’s a Chionarctia Nivea - that is indeed it’s penis. Little is known about it.
It’s found in Russia, Korea, China i think and Japan
This is Peanut the turtle, shortly after being found in Missouri in 1993. She was taken to to a zoo in St. Louis where the six-pack ring was removed.
It seems that she was trapped in the plastic ring as a young turtle and was unable to free herself. Subsequently her shell moulded itself to the plastic ring and she grew in the strange shape you see here.
Unfortunately the damage is permanent, but peanut is expected to live a long life and today she serves as a mascot for the fight against beach littering.
Please, always remember to clean up after yourself at the beach.
"He had this desk in the Oval Office which belonged to a sea captain. I just remember the inside of it you could climb around. There were kind of cavernous spaces in it, and we used to just hang out in there. And he used to give us gum. My mother didn’t like us to chew gum, so we’d go in the Oval Office at night, and he’d feed us gum under the desk."
— John F. Kennedy Jr.
I’m reblogging this again because I love the message behind it and I think it needs to be passed on.
My mother let us choose. My brother and I decided that religion just wasn’t for us. She reacted neutrally and we were not baptised, nor did we make our first holy communion.
My sister chose religion. She woke my mum up every Said “its time to go to church”. She was baptised at 8 years old when she was able to do it for herself, read the relevant parts herself, and knew the choices she was making rather than it being made for her. And she was so happy. Religion should be a choice, and one that you are fully consenting and happy to make.
She’s now 12 and she still has the cross that was a gift at her baptism above her bed, and still reads her little bible from time to time. She doesn’t attend church any more, because she doesn’t feel that church is necessary to have a god.
I am an atheist, as I have stated. But I’m here for her if she ever wants to talk to me about her religion and all things associated.
That is how religion should be. For everyone.
"no i don’t like disney it’s for kids" you need to bibbity bobbity back the fuck up out of my life
Coming in 2018 is Disney’s next fairy tale mythology animated feature film, set amongst the South Pacific islands, rendered in a ‘painterly-style CGI’ (think the Paperman short): and y’all are going to LOVE IT:
The main character will be Moana Waialiki, a sea voyaging enthusiast, and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. When her family needs her help, she sets off on an epic journey. The film will also include demi-gods and spirits taken from real mythology.
